I love being a dad…even when Rowan doesn’t love his first trip to the ocean ❤️ but he’s a big fan of his Pops.
The only “smile” I’ve managed today. We are at the airport preparing to leave Nashville and fly into this new season of life in California. It has been a week of tear-filled goodbyes.
Yesterday was pretty awesome. Filmed an online course/workshop on leadership storytelling with my badass colleague @davidbhutchens. It will launch next month through @storygatherings. Huge thanks to @harrisiii for believing and investing in us. It was a remarkable experience, and I can’t wait for y’all to see it.

Happy second Mother’s Day to the one Rowan calls Mama. I’ll be forever grateful to you for being willing to have your body literally cut open to bring our son into the world. You give your full self to that child. He is everything. And so are you. @brittanyskymcray
Our sweet love is one. There are no words for how much we love this child. It isn’t just a love that consumes our whole being; it’s a love that creates new spaces so it can keep expanding. He is everything. Happy birthday, my love.
Friends, it’s with grief and excitement that I share that Brittany, Rowan, and I are leaving Nashville.
My first birthday with my sweet boy. Nothing better. Here’s to 32.
